Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Canton Little Giants (Canton, IL), 36-22 in a league battle.

With the win, Metamora improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Redbirds travel to Pekin (Pekin, IL) to play the Dragons in a Mid-Illini battle on Friday, October 4. The Dragons go into the battle with a record of 3-2. Pekin won 27-24 in their recent league battle against Morton (Morton, IL)

The Little Giants now have a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Dunlap for a Mid-Illini battle on Friday, October 4.
