Massachusetts High School Football - Doherty Memorial tops Groton-Dunstable
September 27, 2024: Worcester, MA 01602 The Doherty Memorial Highlanders football squad scored 49 points and limited the visiting Groton-Dunstable Crusaders to 19 in the Highlanders non-league triumph on Friday.
The Highlanders now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tantasqua Regional for a non-league test on Friday, October 4. Doherty Memorial will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 28-8 non-league win over East Longmeadow (East Longmeadow, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-1.
With the defeat, Groton-Dunstable drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Crusaders host North Middlesex Regional (Townsend, MA) to meet the Patriots in a Midland Wachusett - C test on Friday, October 4. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 1-2. North Middlesex Regional lost 35-21 in their recent non-league test against Bishop Guertin (Nashua, NH)
