Mississippi High School Football - Houston trounced by New Hope
September 27, 2024: Columbus, MS 39702 New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Houston Hilltoppers (Houston, MS), 42-7 in a non-league battle.
With the win, New Hope advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to Columbus (Columbus, MS) to encounter the Falcons in a non-league battle on Friday, October 4. The Falcons go into the battle with a record of 2-2. Columbus won 34-16 in their recent non-league battle against Ripley (Ripley, MS)
The Hilltoppers now own a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Louisville for a 4A Region 3 battle on Friday, October 4. Houston will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 28-13 non-league loss to Noxubee County (Macon, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-1.
