Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Sahuaro Cougars (Tucson, AZ), 37-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Ironwood Ridge advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Nighthawks travel to Flowing Wells (Tucson, AZ) to play the Caballeros in a 5A Sonoran battle on Friday, October 4. The Caballeros go into the battle with a record of 3-2. Flowing Wells lost 29-28 in their recent non-league battle against Goldwater (Phoenix, AZ)

The Cougars now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Catalina Foothills for a 4A Kino battle on Friday, October 4. Sahuaro will play a Falcons team coming off a 56-38 non-league loss to Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ). The Falcons record now stands at 0-5.
