North Dakota High School Football - Lisbon thwarted by Oakes
September 27, 2024: Oakes, ND 58474 Oakes Tornadoes (Oakes, ND) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Lisbon Broncos (Lisbon, ND), 32-6 in a league battle.
With the win, Oakes advances its record to 2-3 on the season. The Tornadoes host Hillsboro/Central Valley (Buxton, ND) to play the H-CV Burros in a A Region 1 battle on Friday, October 4. The H-CV Burros go into the battle with a record of 1-5. Hillsboro/Central Valley lost 34-13 in their recent league battle against Central Cass (Casselton, ND)
The Broncos now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm for a A Region 1 battle on Friday, October 4. Lisbon will play a team coming off a 34-0 league loss to Kindred (Kindred, ND). The record now stands at 5-1.
