The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA) and the visiting Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings (Cleveland, OH), witnessed McDowell's football squad edge Villa Angela-St. Joseph by a tally of 38-35.

The Trojans (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA). The Ramblers enter the District 10 Region 6 contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Cathedral Prep was nudged by St. Francis (Hamburg, NY), 35-21, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Vikings confront the Dohn Community Panthers (Cincinnati, OH) in a Freelance contest, on Saturday, October 5. Villa Angela-St. Joseph will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 1-5 record after their 30-0 non-league loss to East (Youngstown, OH).
