Illinois High School Football - Mendota can't hold off Sherrard
September 27, 2024: Mendota, IL 61342 Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL), 28-21 in a league battle.
With the win, Sherrard advances its record to 2-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL) to play the Titans in a Three Rivers - Mississippi battle on Friday, October 4. The Titans go into the battle with a record of 5-0. Monmouth-Roseville won 31-3 in their recent league battle against Princeton (Princeton, IL)
The Trojans now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Kewanee for a Three Rivers - Mississippi battle on Friday, October 4. Mendota will play a Boilermakers team coming off a 42-17 league win over Hall/Putnam County (Spring Valley, IL). The Boilermakers record now stands at 2-3.
