Iowa High School Football - West Monona loses to Westwood
September 27, 2024: Onawa, IA 51040 Westwood Rebels (Sloan, IA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA), 38-8 in a league battle.
With the win, Westwood advances its record to 2-3 on the season. The Rebels travel to Ponca (Ponca, NE) to play the Indians in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 3. The Indians go into the battle with a record of 1-4. Ponca lost 43-16 in their recent league battle against Norfolk Catholic (Norfolk, NE)
The Spartans now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Alta-Aurelia for a non-league battle on Friday, October 4. West Monona will play a Warriors team coming off a 34-33 league win over South O'Brien (Paullina, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-4.
