The Calvary Chapel Grizzlies football team (Downey, CA), was crushed 62-14 in Saturday's non-league bout with the visiting St. Joseph Academy Crusaders (San Marcos, CA)

With the win, St. Joseph Academy advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Crusaders host California Lutheran (Wildomar, CA) to encounter the C-Hawks in a non-league bout on Friday, October 3. The C-Hawks go into the bout with a record of 2-3. California Lutheran lost 75-26 in their recent non-league contest against Cornerstone Christian (Wildomar, CA)

Coming up next, the Grizzlies confront the Vista Meridian Meridian Eagles (Santa Ana, CA) in a Express (8 Man) contest, on Saturday, October 11. Calvary Chapel will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record.
