In Saturday's league challenge, the host North Providence Cougars football team scored a nice 24-7 win over the Central Falls Warriors.

In their next game, the Cougars play the Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) in a Division III challenge, on Friday, October 3. North Providence will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 1-3 record after their 35-0 league loss to Johnston (Johnston, RI).

With the defeat, Central Falls drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI) to meet the Chieftains in a Division III test on Friday, October 3.
