Illinois High School Soccer - Von Steuben knocks off Payton College Prep
September 27, 2025: Chicago, IL 60610 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Von Steuben Panthers (Chicago, IL) and the host Payton College Prep Grizzlies (Chicago, IL), saw Von Steuben's soccer squad triumph over Payton College Prep by a count of 6-0.
The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Niles North (Skokie, IL). The Vikings come into the non-league match with a 5-5 record. In their last match, Niles North was overwhelmed by Maine East (Park Ridge, IL), 3-2, in a non-league match.
The Grizzlies now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Taft for a non-league match on Saturday, September 27. Payton College Prep will meet a Eagles team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Leyden (Franklin Park, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 7-2.
