September 27, 2025: Grosse Ile, MI 48138 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Grosse Ile Red Devils (Grosse Ile, MI) and the visiting Hamtramck Cosmos (Hamtramck, MI), saw Grosse Ile's soccer squad hold off Hamtramck by a count of 1-0.
The Red Devils (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against Huron (New Boston, MI). The Chiefs enter the Huron battle with a 14-1 record. In their last battle, Huron tipped Airport (Carleton, MI), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cosmos meet the Pontiac Phoenix (Pontiac, MI) in a non-league match, on Monday, September 29. Hamtramck will attempt to move on its 12-4 season record. The Phoenix come into the match with a 8-4 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Academy of the Americas (Detroit, MI).
