September 27, 2025: Nantucket, MA 02554 In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Nantucket Whalers (Nantucket, MA) soccer squad edged the visiting St. Mary's Spartans (Lynn, MA), by a count of 3-2.
Next, the Whalers battle the Falmouth Clippers (Falmouth, MA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 30. Nantucket will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Clippers enter the contest with a 1-3 record after their 1-1 non-league Martha's Vineyard Regional (Oak Bluffs, MA).
The Spartans (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cardinal Spellman (Brockton, MA). The Cardinals go into the Catholic Central - Large challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Cardinal Spellman was nudged by Bishop Stang (North Dartmouth, MA), 3-0, in a league challenge.
