Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Batavia Bulldogs (Batavia, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Ramblers (14-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Joliet West (Joliet, IL). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 21-3 record. In their last challenge, Joliet West edged Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Geneva Vikings (Geneva, IL) in a DuKane test, on Tuesday, September 30. Batavia will attempt to advance on its 9-13 season record. The Vikings go into the test with a 11-13 record after their 2-0 non-league win over West Chicago (West Chicago, IL).
