Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) fans left the game content Wednesday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 52-22 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Alexander Central improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to battle the Pioneers in a non-league test on Thursday, October 6. The Pioneers come into the test with a record of 2-2.

With the loss, Ashe County drops to 1-5 on the campaign. The Huskies host Hibriten (Lenoir, NC) to battle the Panthers in a non-league test on Thursday, October 6. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 4-2. Hibriten won 55-20 in their recent non-league test against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
