The McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) football overcame the visiting North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC), 36-22 in Thursday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Titans clash with the Enka Jets (Enka, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 5. McDowell will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Jets enter the bout with a 0-5 record after their 62-7 league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC).

The Black Hawks (0-5) will now prepare for their bout against Enka (Enka, NC). The Jets enter the non-league bout with a 0-5 record.
