September 28, 2023: Greenfield, IN 46140 Greenfield-Central Cougars (Greenfield, IN) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), 2-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Cougars meet the Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN) in a non-league test, on Monday, October 2. Greenfield-Central will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 12-3 record after their 3-2 league win over Batesville (Batesville, IN).
With the loss, New Castle drops to 2-12 on the season. The Trojans travel to Centerville (Centerville, IN) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Monday, October 2. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 7-5. Centerville lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Oldenburg Academy (Oldenburg, IN)
