Maryland High School Soccer - Manchester Valley held off by Westminster
September 28, 2023: Westminster, MD 21157 The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Westminster Owls (Westminster, MD) and the visiting Manchester Valley Mavericks (Manchester, MD), saw Westminster's soccer squad get by Manchester Valley by a margin of 3-2.
The Owls now sport a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Linganore for a non-league test on Saturday, September 30. Westminster will meet a Lancers squad coming off a 0-0 league Oakdale (Ijamsville, MD). The Lancers record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Manchester Valley drops to 6-1 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Century (Sykesville, MD) to meet the Knights in a MVAL - Blue Ridge test on Monday, October 2. The Knights come into the test with a record of 4-2. Century won 4-1 in their recent league test against Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD)
