New Mexico High School Volleyball - Wingate edged by Quemado
September 28, 2023: Fort Wingate, NM 87316 The Quemado Eagles volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Wingate Bears to 2 in the Eagles non-league victory on Thursday.
The Eagles now have a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy for a non-league game on Saturday, September 30. Quemado will confront a Eagle team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Corona/Vaughn (Corona, NM). The Eagle record now stands at 5-3.
The Bears (2-9) will now prepare for their game against Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM). The Eagles enter the 3A District 1 game with a 4-6 record. In their last game, Crownpoint was nudged by Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM), 3-1, in a non-league game.
