Ward Melville Patriots (East Setauket, NY) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Connetquot T-Birds (Bohemia, NY), 8-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Ward Melville improves its record to 3-0 on the season. The Patriots travel to Walt Whitman (Huntington Station, NY) to play the Wildcats in a Section 11 Division I battle on Saturday, October 5. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 2-1. Walt Whitman won 47-14 in their recent league battle against Central Islip (Central Islip, NY)

The T-Birds now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bay Shore for a Section 11 Division I battle on Saturday, October 5. Connetquot will play a Marauders team coming off a 31-6 league loss to Sachem North (Lake Ronkonkoma, NY). The Marauders record now stands at 1-2.
