New Jersey High School Soccer - Caldwell nudges Cedar Grove
September 28, 2024: West Caldwell, NJ 07006 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Caldwell Chiefs (West Caldwell, NJ) and the visiting Cedar Grove Panthers (Cedar Grove, NJ), saw Caldwell's soccer squad hold off Cedar Grove by a count of 3-2.
The Chiefs (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Columbia (Maplewood, NJ). The Cougars enter the non-league battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Columbia tipped Newark Tech (Newark, NJ), 6-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Panthers battle the Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 1. Cedar Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Hillbillies enter the battle with a 4-4 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to West Orange (West Orange, NJ).
