September 28, 2024: Charleston, WV 25314 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV) and the visiting Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles (Beckley, WV), saw George Washington's soccer squad prevail over Woodrow Wilson by a count of 4-0.
The Patriots (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Spartans enter the non-league battle with a 9-2 record. In their last battle, Greenbrier East by Jefferson (Shenandoah Junction, WV), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Flying Eagles battle the South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 1. Woodrow Wilson will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Black Eagles enter the battle with a 5-8 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Sissonville (Charleston, WV).
