September 28, 2024: Stoneham, MA 02180 The Stoneham Spartans football squad scored 48 points and limited the visiting Haverhill Hillies to 0 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Spartans now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Melrose for a non-league test on Saturday, October 5. Stoneham will meet a Red Raiders squad coming off a 20-0 non-league win over Swampscott (Swampscott, MA). The Red Raiders record now stands at 4-0.
With the defeat, Haverhill drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Hillies travel to Billerica Memorial (Billerica, MA) to meet the Indians in a non-league test on Saturday, October 5. The Indians come into the test with a record of 2-1. Billerica Memorial lost 28-14 in their recent non-league test against Central Catholic (Lawrence, MA)
