Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Antietam held off by Veritas Academy
September 28, 2024: Reading, PA 19606 The Veritas Academy Monarch edged the host Antietam Mountaineers soccer team by a tally of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league game.
Next, the Monarch face the Alliance Christian Gryphons (Birdsboro, PA) in a Commonwealth Christian game, on Tuesday, October 1. Veritas Academy will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Gryphons enter the game with a 0-1 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Calvary Baptist (Lansdale, PA).
The Mountaineers (3-10) will now prepare for their game against Schuylkill Valley (Leesport, PA). The Panthers enter the Berks County 4 game with a 5-6 record. In their last game, Schuylkill Valley was nipped by Brandywine Heights Area (Topton, PA), 4-2, in a league game.
