Missouri High School Softball - Silex edges Clopton
September 28, 2024: Clarksville, MO 63336 In Saturday's league match, the visiting Silex Owls softball team scored a tight 5-3 victory over the Clopton Hawks.
The Owls (9-14) will now prepare for their match against Elsberry (Elsberry, MO). The Indians enter the Class 2 District 6 contest with a 19-6 record. In their last contest, Elsberry nudged Silex (Silex, MO), 11-2, in a league contest.
The Hawks now hold a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Mark Twain for a Eastern Missouri contest on Tuesday, October 1. Clopton will face a Tigers squad coming off a 17-7 non-league win over Community (Laddonia, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 12-11.
