September 28, 2024: Rock Valley, IA 51247 Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Rock Valley Rockets (Rock Valley, IA), 2-0 in a league test.
With the win, Newell-Fonda improves its record to 18-7 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Northwest Webster (Manson, IA) to face the Cougars in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 1. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 11-10. Northwest Webster lost 2-1 in their recent league test against Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA)
The Rockets now own a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Okoboji for a test on Tuesday, October 1. Rock Valley will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA). The Pioneers record now stands at 6-13.
