Georgia High School Softball - West Laurens gets by Effingham County
September 29, 2021: Springfield, GA 31329 The West Laurens Raiders got by the host Effingham County Rebels softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Wednesday's non-league battle.
The Raiders (18-7) will now prepare for their battle against Rutland (Macon, GA). The Hurricanes go into the AAAA Region 4 battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Rutland was edged by Howard (Macon, GA), 9-1, in a league battle.
The Rebels now sport a 11-6 record. They play next when they travel to Statesboro for a AAAAAA Region 2 outing on Thursday, September 30. Effingham County will encounter a Blue Devils team coming off a 15-0 league loss to South Effingham (Guyton, GA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-14.
