In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Brilliant Tigers football squad scored a big 40-6 victory over the Phillips Bears.

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Hubbertville Lions (Fayette, AL) in a 1A Region 5 match, on Friday, October 6. Brilliant will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 32-21 non-league loss to Hackleburg (Hackleburg, AL).
