The Gilbert Indians football squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Lower Richland Diamond Hornets to 7 in the Indians league win on Friday.

The Indians now possess a 6-0 record. They play next when they travel to Swansea for a AAA Region 5 battle on Friday, October 6. Gilbert will play a Tigers squad coming off a 51-7 league loss to Dreher (Columbia, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 0-6.

Coming up next, the Diamond Hornets play the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats (Cayce, SC) in a AAA Region 5 battle, on Friday, October 6. Lower Richland will attempt to advance on its 1-6 season record. The Bearcats go into the battle with a 4-2 record after their 56-13 league win over Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC).
