The Weir Red Riders (Weirton, WV) football defeated the visiting Keyser Golden Tornado (Keyser, WV), 49-21 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Red Riders face the Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 6. Weir will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Purple Riders enter the bout with a 5-2 record after their 42-0 non-league win over Berne Union (Sugar Grove, OH).

The Golden Tornado (3-2) will now prepare for their bout against John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV). The Monarchs enter the non-league bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, John Marshall defeated Warren (Vincent, OH), 31-20, in a non-league bout.
