September 29, 2023: Clinchport, VA 24244 The Lee Generals football team (Jonesville, VA), was tipped 31-25 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA)
The Eagles (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastside (Coeburn, VA). The Spartans come into the Cumberland challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Eastside nipped J.I. Burton (Norton, VA), 28-14, in a league challenge.
The Generals now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host J.I. Burton for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 6. Lee will meet a Black Raiders team coming off a 28-14 league loss to Eastside (Coeburn, VA). The Black Raiders record now stands at 0-5.
