Southern Choctaw Indians (Gilbertown, AL) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Marengo Panthers (Dixons Mills, AL), 36-28 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Southern Choctaw improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Choctaw County (Butler, AL) to battle the Tigers in a 1A Region 1 test on Friday, October 6. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 1-3. Choctaw County lost 50-16 in their recent league test against Millry (Millry, AL)

With the loss, Marengo drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Hatch (Uniontown, AL) to battle the Bobcats in a 1A Region 3 test on Friday, October 13. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 0-5.
