In Friday's non-league match, the visiting McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets football squad scored a close 35-31 victory over the St. Michael Catholic Cardinals .

In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Baldwin County Tigers (Bay Minette, AL) in a 6A Region 1 match, on Thursday, October 5. McGill-Toolen will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 1-4 record after their 45-14 non-league loss to Mary G. Montgomery (Semmes, AL).
