The Ripon Indians (Ripon, CA) football defeated the host Modesto Christian Crusaders (Modesto, CA), 47-16 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Indians face the Hilmar Yellowjackets (Hilmar, CA) in a Trans Valley League bout, on Friday, October 6. Ripon will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the bout with a 4-2 record after their 42-3 league win over Livingston (Livingston, CA).

The Crusaders (2-4) will now prepare for their bout against Escalon (Escalon, CA). The Cougars enter the Trans Valley League bout with a 5-1 record. In their last bout, Escalon defeated Hughson (Hughson, CA), 21-14, in a league bout.
