The Seven Lakes Spartans held off the host Morton Ranch Mavericks football team by a final score of 24-21 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Seven Lakes improves its record to 2-3 on the season. The Spartans host Mayde Creek (Houston, TX) to confront the Rams in a 6A Region III District 19 outing on Friday, October 6. The Rams go into the outing with a record of 2-4. Mayde Creek lost 35-0 in their recent league outing against Cinco Ranch (Katy, TX)

With the loss, Morton Ranch moves to 1-5 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Katy Taylor (Katy, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a 6A Region III District 19 outing on Thursday, October 5. The Mustangs go into the outing with a record of 2-3. Katy Taylor lost 48-13 in their recent league outing against Tompkins (Katy, TX)
