The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Troup Tigers (Troup, TX) and the host Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, TX), observed Troup's football squad defeat Quitman by a count of 43-22.

The Tigers now own a 5-0 record. They play next when they host Edgewood for a 3A-2 Region III District 9 contest on Friday, October 6. Troup will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 28-27 league win over Grand Saline (Grand Saline, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-3.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs encounter the Edgewood Bulldogs (Edgewood, TX) in a 3A-2 Region III District 9 contest, on Friday, October 13. Quitman will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.
