The Varela Vipers (Miami, FL) football nudged the host Sunset Knights (Miami, FL), 7-6 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Vipers clash with the Mourning Sharks (North Miami, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 6. Varela will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Sharks come into the game with a 3-1 record after their 30-0 non-league win over Hialeah-Miami Lakes (Hialeah, FL).

The Knights now hold a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Coral Reef for a Greater Miami - South game on Thursday, October 12.
