Maryland High School Football - Poolesville thwarted by Centennial
September 29, 2025: Ellicott City, MD 21042 Centennial Eagles (Ellicott City, MD) followers went home in high spirits Monday as they observed their football squad thwart the visiting Poolesville Falcons (Poolesville, MD), 20-0 in a non-league match.
The Eagles (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Southern (Harwood, MD). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Southern was beaten by Patapsco (Baltimore, MD), 30-20, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Falcons play the Smithsburg Leopards (Smithsburg, MD) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 3. Poolesville will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Leopards go into the battle with a 2-1 record after their 26-12 non-league loss to Brunswick (Brunswick, MD).
