The Princeville Princes football team (Princeville, IL), was ripped 51-14 in Friday's league challenge with the host Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL)

The Golden Eagles (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL). The Hawks come into the non-league challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Prairie Central trounced Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL), 51-8, in a league challenge.

The Princes now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Abingdon/Avon for a Lincoln Trail challenge on Friday, October 7. Princeville will meet a Tornadoes team coming off a 47-20 league loss to Havana (Havana, IL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 1-5.
