September 30, 2022: Cedar Rapids, IA 52404 In Friday's league game, the Prairie Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) football team knocked off the visiting Waterloo West Wahawks (Waterloo, IA), by a score of 45-14.
The Hawks (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA). The Rams come into the 5A Group 5 game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Southeast Polk toppled Linn-Mar (Marion, IA), 49-27, in a league game.
The Wahawks now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Jefferson for a 5A Group 5 game on Friday, October 7. Waterloo West will battle a Hawks team coming off a 54-6 league loss to Ottumwa (Ottumwa, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 0-6.
