September 30, 2023: Clarks Summit, PA 18411 In Saturday's league game, the Valley View Cougars (Archbald, PA) football team knocked off the host Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA), by a final score of 35-14.
The Cougars (6-0) will now prepare for their game against Scranton (Scranton, PA). The Knights come into the Lackawanna 1 game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, Scranton was dropped by Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA), 35-19, in a non-league game.
The Comets now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Scranton Prep for a Lackawanna 1 game on Friday, October 6. Abington Heights will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 37-3 league win over Wallenpaupack Area (Hawley, PA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 5-1.
