Illinois High School Soccer - Moline nudges Chicago Mt. Carmel
September 30, 2023: Moline, IL 61265 Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan (Chicago, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Maroons confront the East Moline United Panthers (East Moline, IL) in a Western Big 6 challenge, on Tuesday, October 3. Moline will attempt to better on its 10-0 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Streator/Woodland (Streator, IL).
The Caravan now have a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they host Loyola Academy for a Chicago Catholic challenge on Tuesday, October 3. Chicago Mt. Carmel will confront a Ramblers team coming off a 3-1 league win over Fenwick (Oak Park, IL). The Ramblers record now stands at 6-5.
