September 30, 2023: Raymond, IL 62560 The Southwestern Piasa Birds soccer team (Piasa, IL), was overwhelmed 7-0 in Saturday's non-league outing with the host Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL)
With the win, Lincolnwood advances its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Carlinville (Carlinville, IL) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league outing on Monday, October 2. The Cavaliers go into the outing with a record of 8-6. Carlinville won 7-0 in their recent league outing against North Mac (Virden, IL)
In their next game, the Piasa Birds play the Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL) in a South Central outing, on Tuesday, October 3. Southwestern will attempt to advance on its 2-9 season record. The Purple Panthers go into the outing with a 14-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL).
