Missouri High School Softball - Jefferson City bounces Fort Zumwalt South
September 30, 2023: Jefferson City, MO 65101 Jefferson City Jays (Jefferson City, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Fort Zumwalt South Bulldogs (St. Peters, MO), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Jays now own a 14-7 record. They take the field next when they host Smith-Cotton for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 2. Jefferson City will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over North Callaway (Kingdom City, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 16-10.
With the loss, Fort Zumwalt South falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Howell Central (St. Charles, MO) to battle the Spartans in a Class 4 District 7 challenge on Monday, October 2. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 9-18. Howell Central lost 6-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Jackson (Jackson, MO)
