September 30, 2023: Waterloo, IA 50702 The Waterloo West Wahawks (Waterloo, IA) volleyball were winner over the visiting Clear Lake Lions (Clear Lake, IA), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.
With the win, Waterloo West betters its record to 9-12 on the year. The Wahawks host Linn-Mar (Marion, IA) to face the Lions in a Mississippi Valley - Valley outing on Tuesday, October 3. The Lions go into the outing with a record of 15-7. Linn-Mar lost 3-2 in their recent league outing against Hempstead (Dubuque, IA)
The Lions now sport a 8-14 record. They play next when they host St. Edmond for a North Central outing on Thursday, October 5. Clear Lake will face a Gaels squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Humboldt (Humboldt, IA). The Gaels record now stands at 4-11.
