September 30, 2023: Bourg, LA 70343 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Highland Baptist Christian Bears (New Iberia, LA) and the host South Terrebonne Gators (Bourg, LA), saw Highland Baptist Christian's volleyball squad beat South Terrebonne by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Highland Baptist Christian upgrades its record to 10-8 on the year. The Bears host Destrehan (Destrehan, LA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 30. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 12-7. Destrehan won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Ursuline Academy (New Orleans, LA)
The Gators now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to Westgate for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 30. South Terrebonne will play a Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-17.
