Massachusetts High School Soccer - Cushing Academy nudges Winchendon
September 30, 2024: Ashburnham, MA 01430 The Cushing Academy Penguins soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Winchendon Wapiti to 2 in the Penguins league victory on Monday.
The Penguins now hold a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Phillips Exeter Academy for a NEPSAC Freelance bout on Wednesday, October 2. Cushing Academy will play a Lions squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Choate Rosemary Hall School (Wallingford, CT). The Lions record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, Winchendon moves to 1-3 on the year. The Wapiti travel to St. Andrew's (Barrington, RI) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 2. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 4-1. St. Andrew's won 5-3 in their recent non-league bout against Greens Farms Academy (Greens Farms, CT)
