The Lamar County Trojans softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Putnam County War Eagles to 0 in the Trojans league win on Monday.

The Trojans now sport a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Social Circle for a 1A D-I Region 4 battle on Tuesday, October 1. Lamar County will confront a Redskins team coming off a 9-1 non-league loss to Mount Vernon (Atlanta, GA). The Redskins record now stands at 18-5.

With the loss, Putnam County moves to 3-12 on the season. The War eagles travel to Jasper County (Monticello, GA) to confront the Hurricanes in a 1A D-I Region 4 battle on Tuesday, October 1.
