In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Pike County Pirates volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Mary Persons Bulldogs.

The Pirates (10-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Taylor County (Butler, GA). The Vikings enter the non-league challenge with a 11-9 record. In their last challenge, Taylor County beat Rutland (Macon, GA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Luella Lions (Luella, GA) in a 3A Area 1 challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. Mary Persons will attempt to upgrade on its 13-18 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 2-1 league win over Howard (Macon, GA).
