Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Diamond Wildcats (Diamond, MO) and the visiting Pierce City Eagles (Pierce City, MO), observed Diamond's volleyball team hold off Pierce City by a count of 3-2.

The Wildcats (15-3) will now prepare for their contest against Skyline (Urbana, MO). The Tigers go into the non-league battle with a 10-8 record. In their last battle, Skyline tipped Sarcoxie (Sarcoxie, MO), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Eagles now own a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ash Grove for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 2.
